Newsletter 06/19

=== english version below ===
  1. Habilkommission Polechova
  2. OEH-Wahl 2019
  3. Didaktische Vorträge
  4. Das Plenum
  5. Erinnerungen!

Frau Dr. Jitka Polechova möchte Habilitieren. Wir suchen dazu dringend zwei studentische Mitglieder. Was müsst ihr tun?

Dear all,
now you get a newsletter again! There are different reasons for this. On the one hand we urgently need your help with a topic, on the other hand the decreasing reach of social media like Facebook etc. leaves us to fall back on the traditional medium of email. We only try to communicate interesting or relevant information on this channel, so please don't ignore us! About everything else, such as requests for tutoring, funny memes and job advertisements we continue to inform for example in the facebook group “Das mathematische Netzwerk” [1].
If you need more information or want to participate in topics, write to us at stv.mathematik@oeh.univie.ac.at
Let's get to the table of contents.
Habilitation Commission Polechova
OEH election 2019
Didactic lectures
The Plenum
Memories!

Dr. Jitka Polechova would like to do her habilitation. We are urgently looking for two studentic members. What do you have to do? Roughly the following: Take part at a meeting with the commission and volunteer as the author of a didactic report, visit the didactic lecture, idealy together with other students, write a didactic report in consultation with them and taking into account the existing evaluations. Then please appear at the final meeting. For the easy writing of the reports you will receive templates from us. We are happy to receive voluntary reports.

The ÖH election is over, from now on we all have to buy our own Makava again and in the staircase it will no longer smell like popcorn. Details about UV and BV can be found here [2]. Your Roter Vektor Mathematik was re-elected, your study representatives for the coming semester will be Goditsch Sebastian, Greilhuber Josef Eberhard, Lintner Laura, Reibnegger Markus and Schwentner Emma. Thank you for your trust! Voter turnout has risen slightly, thanks also for that.

There will be didactic lectures for a habilitation and an appointment commission. Come and have a look and help us to give more weight on the teaching in our faculty. Dr. Stefan Müller talks about "Minkowski's theorem for polyhedral cones via elementary vectors" on 5 June at 11:30 a.m. Next week the first didactic lectures concerning the professorship Data Science in Astrophysics will take place, more here [3].

The next plenary session will take place on Tuesday at 6 pm! Come and have a look, food will also be provided.

We would like to remind you once again of the events from the last newsletter. On Monday there will be a stem cell registration, help in the fight against leukemia! In addition, the didactic lectures will take place in the Mathe-Bio-Commission. You will receive 1ECTS for your participation and feedback. Read more here [4].

All the best, your Roter Vektor Mathe
